Pirate Nation, The latest guidance from the ADH is that school-aged children who are fully vaccinated are not required to quarantine following exposure and can continue attending school and participating in extracurricular activities. Anyone age 12 and up is welcome to register. You do not have to be a student to receive the vaccination. Please use the following link to register for the August 9th clinic at 5:00 and please help us spread the word. This is round #2 for those vaccinated July 19th and round #1 for new registrants. The clinic will take place in the middle school board room. Our very own Mrs. Faught has been working with the University of Arkansas to learn more arts-integrated strategies to bring to her social studies classroom. This year, her students will be exploring history through poetry, movement, and collage. This is a year long program, so the fun is just beginning! #WeAreGMS!

The GHS and GSD family are super excited to welcome Mr. Taylor Kinsey. Mr. Kinsey will be joining the GHS Dream Team as our Computer Science teacher!!! He is from Warsaw, Virginia. After graduating from Rappahannock High School, Mr. Kinsey joined the Navy. Following his time in the Navy, Mr. Kinsey attended the University of Arkansas and graduated with a Bachelor's in Computer Science and a Minor in teaching. We are thrilled to have him join the Pirate Family!!!!!
The GHS and GSD family are super excited to welcome Taylor Pruitt. Ms. Pruitt will be joining the GHS Dream Team as our Business teacher!!! She is from Bergman, AR and has a degree in Agricultural Business from the University of Arkansas. She is currently enrolled at the University of Central Arkansas to obtain her Master's in Teaching. She spends her free time reading, gardening, crafting and playing with her dog, Annie. We are so excited to welcome her to our Pirate Family!!!!

Her bachelor's degree is in Electrical Engineering from the University of Arkansas. She has 8 years professional experience in STEM roles. Her passion for teaching math and technology has brought her into the classroom. In her spare time, she enjoys biking with her family, outdoor fun, and board games.
